IT for healthcare

In a clinic, downtime is measured in patients, not minutes.

PACS servers, medical data security, private cloud and device integration - designed, built and operated end to end. MedicalSrv is the healthcare brand of SrvIT, which has served business IT since 1996.

You already have a provider

Already working with an IT company?

Most enquiries we get come from clinics and imaging centres that already have someone, and something is not working. We have set out exactly what a handover looks like, how long it takes, and what happens when the previous provider will not cooperate.

Why us

In a medical practice every fault is measured in waiting patients

A scanning day does not wait for a fault. So we design around three things: how many hours the practice can operate, how fast a study opens, and who exactly reached the data.

  • DICOMWe speak the language of the equipment. DICOM and HL7 have been routine work here for years.
  • NetworkThe equipment network is separated from the office network. That is our default, even in a small practice.
  • UptimeThe image server is monitored around the clock. Every replaceable part has a prepared path and a spare on hand.
  • PrivacyEvery client gets resources allocated to them alone. Medical data does not sit on shared public infrastructure here.
  • RecordsEverything is documented and it is yours. Diagrams, credentials, permissions and vendor contracts, in one place you can see.
  • ResponseThere is someone to talk to. A service desk, a tracked ticket, and a person who knows your practice.
A real case

A disc burner died while a patient was already at the counter

The repair itself took a day. The patient did not have to wait for it.

What happened

A patient came to collect a mammography study done the day before, expecting a disc. The burner at the centre was not working.

What we did

At the technician request we sent the study from the central server to another branch where the burner was working. At the same time, at her request, we sent her the results by a secure link in email.

How it ended

She had her results straight away and drove to the other branch for the disc. The burner itself was replaced later the same day.

Getting started

Four steps, no surprises

We do not quote before we have seen what is there. The survey itself gives you a useful picture even if you end up choosing someone else.

Scoping call

Half an hour. What exists today, what hurts, and where the practice is heading.

On-site survey

We map equipment, network, servers, backups and permissions, and hand you a written report.

Plan and quote

A work plan with timelines, clear costs, and exactly what is and is not included.

Build and run

Phased delivery that does not stop the practice, then ongoing operation with a named contact.

Commitments

What we put in writing

Every item here goes into the service agreement. If one of them does not suit you, say so at the proposal stage and we adjust it.

Defined response times

Anything that stops patient examinations is handled first, with a response time written into the agreement as a number.

We test the backup with a real restore

Sample restores are actually performed on a fixed cycle, and you get the result in writing.

Medical data sits on resources that are yours

Storage on resources allocated to your practice, in a location agreed in advance.

The documentation is yours

At any point you can ask for and receive all documentation, permissions and credentials. Including on the day we part.

An orderly exit

If you change provider we hand over the material and support the transition. It is in the agreement.

Transparent costs

Licensing, hardware and labour are shown separately. No line we cannot explain.
